The primer coat spray gun is the same series and model of spray gun for base and clear coat. There have both size cup and center cup which is depended on the sprayer. KIWAMI1 B-SHO is the lowest price of automotive refinishing spray gun but the performance is sufficient of primer coat already. The other model have a higher performance but it will be the optional item for consideration.

KIWAMI1-16B2 (B-SHO) spray gun for primer coat only
KIWAMI1 B-SHO or KIWAMI1BH is the selected item for primer coat only with nozzle size and the price is cheapest when compare with other automotive refinishing spray gun model. Even the the price is higher than the WIDER1G series in a few amount but the different price is offset by the performance of primer coat is better and sufficient for this application. You can use with other spray gun model for base and clear coat without problem.

KIWAMI1RT with nozzle size 1.6 mm is the optional item for primer coat when the material is extremely high viscosity or water-based. If you use KIWAMI1BH, you may find it that the spare part will be depreciable more than usual because the nozzle is depreciated quickly. This is the special model for sprayer who consider it as the optional item because they need a spray gun which can spray both normal paint and high viscosity paint and the spare part is robust than normal model. The price is higher than KIWAMI1BH but still lower than KIWAMI4.

KIWAMI4BA is the center cup for base coat and clear coat but this model provide the 1.6 mm nozzle that it is available for primer coat and also use for water-based clear coat.

It is possible that the 1.6 mm model is sold by nozzle needle set spare part rather than full spray gun because the primary work is base and clear coat. The water-based model and primary application of 1.6 mm is the clear coat with water-based paint because the higher in viscosity and droplet is larger. That's why 1.6 mm is required but this size is suitable for primer coat which is the standard practicable for primer coat spraying.
